Snap Wedding vs GuestPix.An honest comparison.
Both are one-time-payment, no-app QR code galleries, and on the core job they are genuinely similar. The differences that matter are hosting length, how many events one purchase covers, and voice messages - including where GuestPix is the better pick.

Create Your AlbumThe short answer
Choose GuestPix if you want digital invitations and RSVP tracking bundled into the same product as your photo gallery, or if you specifically want its Canva QR code template library to design your signage.
Choose Snap Wedding if you want the album to stay online for years rather than months, if you want guests to be able to leave voice and written messages alongside photos, or if you have several events to cover - engagement party, shower, rehearsal dinner, wedding - on one purchase.
Neither requires guests to download an app, which is the thing that actually determines how many photos you end up with. On that decisive point they are equivalent, so the rest of this comparison is about the margins.

The difference that matters most: how long you keep the album
GuestPix hosts for 12 months on its two single-gallery tiers and 24 on the bundle. Snap Wedding hosts for 6 months, 1 year, or 5 years by tier, with a one-time add-on that takes it to 10. If you are the kind of person who will do the bulk download promptly, this difference is close to irrelevant. If you are honest with yourself and you will not, it is the whole decision.
The failure mode is consistent across every product in this category: the album fills up, the couple means to archive it, and then the hosting window closes during a stretch of life when nobody is thinking about the wedding. A longer window is insurance against your own future distraction.
That said - and this applies to us as much as to anyone - download the complete archive once and keep your own copy. Any hosted album is a convenience layer, not a backup. We cover this in more depth in the wedding photo sharing app buying guide.
If you have more than one event to cover
Most couples photograph three or four gatherings, not one: the engagement party, a shower, the rehearsal dinner, the wedding, sometimes a next-day brunch. Buying a separate gallery for each adds up quickly.
GuestPix bundles three galleries at its top tier. Snap Wedding includes five albums at $69 and unlimited at $149. If you are only ever going to run one album, that advantage is theoretical and you should ignore it. If you have a shower and a bachelorette in the calendar already, it is real money.
We have guides on running albums for the bridal shower, engagement party, and bachelorette if you are planning the whole run.
Voice messages versus a written guestbook
GuestPix includes a written and video guestbook. Snap Wedding lets guests record audio - a spoken message, thirty seconds of a toast, your nephew singing badly. These are not substitutes for each other, and which one you want is genuinely a matter of taste.
What we have found is that the audio recordings are the thing couples come back to years later, more than the photographs. A written note reads like a card. A recording of your grandfather saying your name does something a card cannot. If that appeals to you, it is a point in our favour; if it sounds like a gimmick, ignore it entirely.
Where GuestPix is the better pick
Three cases, plainly.
- You want invitations and RSVPs in the same tool. GuestPix includes a digital invite with RSVP tracking. We do not build that and are not planning to - if consolidating those into one product matters to you, that is a real reason to choose them.
- You want to try before paying. GuestPix has a free tier at 50 photos and a 30-day window. That is not enough for a wedding, but it is enough to confirm the flow works for your guests. We have no free tier.
- You want their signage templates. GuestPix ships a large library of editable Canva QR templates. If you would rather pick a design than make one, that saves you an evening.
How to actually decide
Both tools clear the bar that matters - guests scan and upload without installing anything - so this is not a decision worth agonising over. Two questions settle it:
- How many events are you covering? One, and either is fine. Three or more, and compare the multi-album tiers directly.
- How long do you want the album to outlive the wedding? A year is fine if you will archive it promptly. If you want it findable in 2031 without having thought about it, that narrows the field.
Whichever you pick, test it once on a phone that is not signed into anything, on cellular data rather than wifi, before the day. That single check catches most of what goes wrong.
Common questions
Both charge a one-time fee with no subscription, and the tiers overlap, so the honest answer depends on which tier you need. Snap Wedding starts at $25 for a single album and runs to $149 for unlimited albums with five years of hosting. GuestPix is $49 Classic (one gallery), $89 Signature (one gallery), or $119 Signature Bundle (three galleries), verified in USD on September 20, 2026. Compare the tier that matches your event count and hosting needs rather than the headline price, and check both sites for current figures.
